Welcome to Hearth & Herd Animal Care

Compassionate, Experienced, Reliable Care for Animals — and More

Hearth & Herd Animal Care is an experienced pet care professional specializing in farm animals, dogs, cats, and other critters, based in the Kansas City area. We are dedicated to providing the best care for your beloved pets, ensuring they are happy, healthy, and well looked after while you are away.

Our Story

Hearth & Herd Animal Care was born from a lifelong love of animals and a deep-rooted dedication to their well-being. With over 20 years of hands-on experience — including several years as a veterinary technician — I’ve built my life and career around earning the trust of both animals and their people.

In addition to running Equine Care Services LLC, a trusted provider of specialized horse care, I have long-standing relationships with clients who have relied on me for over a decade. I am a fully insured, Animal CPR & First Aid certified professional, and I bring knowledge, compassion, and consistency to every job I do.

Beyond Pet Care — Whole Property Peace of Mind

While your animals are a top priority, I understand that leaving home can come with a long to-do list. That’s why Hearth & Herd goes above and beyond traditional pet sitting. In addition to daily walks, feedings, medication administration, and barn chores, I also offer:

  • House plant and garden care

  • Lawn watering and basic upkeep

  • Mail/package collection

  • Home checks for safety and security

  • Flexible, customized routines tailored to your needs

Whether you’re away for a weekend or an extended trip, you can rest easy knowing that your home, animals, and property are in trustworthy hands. No stress. No worries. Just dependable care delivered with heart.

At Hearth & Herd, your animals — and your peace of mind — are our purpose.
